Shopping

Last night we went to Dillard's. If you haven't heard they are having an amazing sale right now. All of their Winter Clearance is an additional 40% off. So David got a new coat, two work shirts, and a new pair of shoes. Alex got a coat for next year, a sweater, and two Polo's. Janie got a Christmas dress for next year, another dress, some capris and a t-shirt that says "I'm kind of a big deal"...totally her! And I got nada! But that's okay I love shopping for my family. ANYWAY, I wanted to share how each of my children handled the night.

Alex was totally excited because our Dillard's has three stories, so that meant he got to ride the elevator stairs aka escalator. But after he rode the escalator he laid down on the floor and simply could not go any further. His exact words!

Janie on the other hand had her purse on her shoulder and was ready to go. She was getting ready to buy a gumball when the lady at the cosmetics counter told her they weren't very good, so she asked her if she wanted some of her candy instead. Alex chimed in, "I DO" so instead of giving them each a handful of Robin Eggs, she gave them her whole box. Wasn't that sweet? Talk about southern hospitality. At that moment I knew it was time to go. Janie was okay with being done, she had already gotten four things...but when we got home she tried on absolutely everything, modeling it for us.

Anybody want to take my kids shopping next time??

Been there, done that! :-)

DO NOT leave yourself out ever again. I did that way too often and felt very irritated by it and didn't even realize what it was. You are too important to your family. Take my advice, ALWAYS buy a little something for yourself, too.

I'll take your little fashionista, Janie! Then afterward we can design clothes on her game!
