For Christmas, Santa gave us tickets to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Today we went to the circus. It was amazing. We got to go to the preshow. It started an hour early and we got to go down on the floor. There you good try on some costumes, see some clown shows, dog shows, and we even watched an elephant named Nicole pant a picture that was raffled off.
Also at the preshow, we saw a female clown spinning plates. She grabbed a guy out of the audience and then asked for a little girl. It must have been Janie's lucky day because she was chosen. She got to put on a skirt matching the clowns, and the hold the pole with a spinning plate. It was very cute. And of course Janie could not stop smiling.
After the preshow, my camera battery died. Which was a bummer, but I got the most important part...Janie spinning plates. The show was amazing though. Alex loved the motorcycles spinning in the ball. But he kind of lost interest when the bendy men came out. He could care less about them bending their bodies in ways no human should be able to bend.
But it was a very enjoyable day and I would recommend the show to everyone. For all you Missouri people I think its coming to Kansas City in September!!

When I was in the third grade, our class went to KC to see the Shriner's Circus. I got to be in the ring, too. Janie will remember this all her life! I don't think I got to wear a skirt that matched the clowns, though! I think I walked a dog around the edge of the ring, and then the dog jumped through like 30 hoops!
